How Does SendaRide Work?

We provide customized, concierge transportation that is booked through either our App or our HIPAA compliant website. We provide transportation through our network of screened and credentialed Care Partners (our Drivers are called “Care Partners”). Our Care Partners use their own vehicles that have been personally inspected by SendaRide staff.

Our clients include hospitals and clinics within Oklahoma as well as community programs that assist the elderly, vulnerable and fragile populations.  Clients book scheduled rides according to patient/participant needs and Care Partners complete the rides.

 

What Hours Do You Operate?

SendaRide’s driving hours are 6:00 am - 10:00 pm Monday through Sunday. (Other times are by request and availability.)

SendaRide’s customer service hours are 7:00 am – 9:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am – 1:00 pm Saturday.  Clients are permitted to books rides outside of our customer service hours but they will be responsible for monitoring the ride and communicating directly with the driver, if necessary (driver contact information is provided to clients once rides are accepted). 

 

What Geographic Areas Do You Cover?

Currently we are based out of the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metro areas, however we can provide transportation outside those areas if needed. We are currently in the process of expanding operations to other US cities.

 

What Types of Transportation Do You Provide?

We provide non-emergency medical transportation for those who can transfer themselves to and from a vehicle. We accommodate collapsible wheelchairs and walkers, as well as oxygen tanks and service animals. We also serve many customers that are blind or hearing impaired.  For safety reasons, our Care Partners do not do any transfers, lifting or carrying of clients or handle non-collapsible wheelchairs. All riders must be 16 years of age or older to ride without adult supervision.

 

How Much Does SendaRide Cost?

Sendaride offers a competitive fee for our services. We charge a ride origination fee and a time and distance fare; therefore, each fare is different.  Longer distance fares provide a great value when compared to non-emergency ambulance costs. There is a $2 charge for each additional person other than the initial rider. For estimates, please Email Us or call our Customer Service team at 800-731-1885.

Wait time charges can apply if a rider is not ready at pick-up or an appointment runs longer than expected. Cancellation charges also apply in specific instances.

 

How Do I Book a Ride?

For Individuals Using an Apple Phone*: Please create a profile by downloading our iPhone app from the  App Store. You can book either a scheduled or “On-Demand” (pick-up within an hour) ride. You can book a ride for yourself, friend or loved one based upon the profile information. Payments are automatically charged after each ride to either the credit or debit card on file. To provide the most efficient service, a booking reservation made 24-48 hours in advance is recommended. Cancellation fees will apply if a reservation is cancelled within 2 hours of the pick-up time.

Medical Client or Corporate Accounts: Please contact our Administrative Team by Email Us or 800-731-1885 to set up a direct bill account. Subscribers will have access to our HIPAA compliant web portal for booking, monitoring and cancelling rides made for their patients/participants.
