How do I become a Care Partner (Driver)?
Apply on our website and submit the Application Form. You will receive a verification email that allows you to create your login for the Care Partner app. You can then begin creating your online profile, uploading your documents (drivers license, car insurance, registration, profile picture and pictures of your car).
What are the requirements to be a Care Partner?
25+ older Clean Background check Pass Car Inspection
Clean & Reliable 4-door car Car that is 10 years or newer Clean Motor Vehicle Report
Android or iOS phone Pass Orientation quiz Random Drug Screenings
Service minded driver: escort the rider to the car and escort the rider into their drop off location
What are the Care Partner’s Duties and/or Expectations?
Care Partners provide a door-to-door concierge service
This includes greeting passengers at their door, inside the Hospital/Dr. Office or School
Escorting the passengers to the car and offering assistance
Care partners are engaging, kind and enjoy the company of others
Care partners can be identified by their SendaRide T-shirt or lanyard (worn on every job) as well as by the SendaRide magnet on their car
How much money can a Care Partner make? (Approx.)
A typical ride of 10 miles, 15 mins, 1 passenger and no waiting time = $10.51 in Care Partner earnings. Payment is based on mileage, time, number of passengers and waiting time (if incurred). We see earning ranges of $0.80-$0.95/mile.
How long is the Application process?
First Care Partners create their profile in the app. This includes photos of their car, insurance, a brief bio, vehicle registration, etc. We review your profile and then advance you to the vetting process consisting of orientation and training, a background check, car tnspection and test ride. The whole process can take as little as 4 days.
I have a car older than ten years; Can I drive for SendaRide?
We do make exceptions for vehicles in great condition and that have been serviced properly. During your car inspection our support team will make the final decision. If you would like to submit a request to review your vehicle before the car inspection we can try to give you a ballpark answer. Email CarePartnerSupport@sendaride.com *Extra documentation may be required.
I have been added to the Care Partner Queue; what is that?
We are committed to creating a network of drivers based solely on demand. We want every Care Partner to have the opportunity to work as much or as little as they like. Care Partners in the queue are the next in line to be verified and on the road. We pull Care Partners out of the queue as our job availability increases. It is likely you will not be in the queue long. We bring on new partnerships and Subscribers everyday; job demand is increasing quickly.
Can a passenger tip or rate the Care Partner?
The Subscriber will soon have the ability to tip and rate a driver in the app after their ride.
I bought a new car, can I change it on my profile?
A new car must go through the same approval process as your original car. Start by emailing all vehicle information to CarePartnerSupport@sendaride.com: Please include photos of the car (Front, Back, Side), insurance, registration, license plate. Please include in your email the year, make, model, # of seats and # of miles. Our support team will review and upload your new information and you will hear back from us with available times for your car inspection.
I bought a new phone. How do I download the app?
Notify CarePartnerSupport@sendaride.com of any phone or vehicle changes; then follow the instructions below:

I arrived on time, but the passenger is not here...Do I still get paid?
If your passenger is no longer in need of the ride and did not cancel prior the Care Partner arriving; the Care Partner can cancel the ride and will be paid based on the ride estimate.
How do I receive jobs?
Verified Care partners receive a notification when a job is booked. Care Partners do not have to be online to receive jobs. A Care Partner opens the app to see a job card with the ride details. These include; who, what, when & where. The Care Partner can then accept or reject the job. Most of our rides are scheduled so you can accept them around your schedule.
Am I required to have any special car insurance?
Ride-share drivers are always encouraged to carry the TNC (Transportation Network Company) Endorsement on their personal auto policy for their protection. SendaRides’s insurance covers the passenger.
When are the majority of jobs?
95% of our jobs are booked in advance and occur during the day between 8:00am - 5:00pm. Care Partner's can accept these jobs in advance and plan out their week.
